Dawnerz Safety Center
Heavy-duty recovery operates in a high-energy environment where failure is not gradual, its instantaneous. Loads may include tractors, articulated haulers, tankers, and construction equipment, often operating in unstable terrain where resistance forces are highly variable and unpredictable.
In these conditions, recovery systems must not be sized by vehicle weight alone. The governing constraint is drawbar pull, the maximum tractive force a recovery machine can generate at the ground interface. This defines the true upper limit of applied load in a controlled traction-based recovery.
All Dawnerz systems are designed around a minimum 3:1 safety factor relative to recovery vehicle drawbar pull, ensuring the strap remains within a controlled working range while the machine reaches traction loss before equipment failure.
This approach accounts for real-world variables including terrain resistance, stiction in mud and clay, gradients, and dynamic load shifts that can amplify force beyond static calculations.
